GMT Owners ... Help Please..

All take the 49 khz or more over 14khz any day when looking for small , low conducting target, in highly mineralized dirt .even 19 khz wouldn't cut it for me...if i was going after gold.. I have a mxt and i would aspect it to find a sertan size at a sertan depth. missing smaller and deeper one, cause of the soil conditions.....zip zip says the gmt

hope that helps

GMT will run circles around the Garrett. It handles high mineralization much better and can find much smaller nuggets also.

I no longer prospect so I sold my GMT. However in the desert washes in gold country I often found single lead shotgun shell pellets in highly mineralized
ground at depths of up to 8 inches. Have to dig those responses because lead is conductive similar to small gold nuggets. In 5 years I never saw anyone with a Garret
AT or similar machine. High dollar Garrett PI's yes.
I can not recommend the AT. 48- 70 kHZ VLF machines are best for gold hunting. i.e. GMT or Fisher GoldBug. HTH

I concur with star splitter. I have an old Garrett and my new GMT is just superior.
