My Dad recently bought some property in Eastern Tennessee. Said he heard donors of some gold being found in the creek on his property. Heā€™s a total novice but sent this picture. Interesting enough to be intriguing! Hereā€™s to hoping.

Anyone find gold in eastern tenn? 816F4D5C-CCE9-4685-A0FE-21B83A2A3F32.jpeg

Well hot damn! It mentions Coker Creek and thatā€™s the one that runs his property. This just might turn out pretty interesting.

Thanks Old Bookaroo

Just remember where you heard about it when you find that first nugget as big as your fist...

Yes, Coker Creek appears to be the hotspot. I didn't know Tennessee had a gold rush! I believe gold has been found in every state in the union.

Good luck to all,

Yes, I read about Coker Creek here on TreasureNet. Good gold has been found there.

There is a good group of people at the Coker Creek GPAA group that you could reach out to and learn more. I met them a few years back at a weekend dredge event at Treasure Valley in Marion.

No Gold in NY:

Just for fun I poked around the Internets a bit and it looks like there is gold in New York but it all belongs to the state - whether found on public or private property.

This is how the King of Spain seized the huge silver find in Northern Mexico back in colonial times. And seems to be a throwback to the law of treasure trove in Great Britain (I am not a lawyer).

I'm sure this law has put a bit of a damper on amateur prospecting.

Good luck to all,
