Gold in Middle Tennessee?

I was wondering if anyone on here has knowledge or knows of anyone who has found gold in middle Tennessee? I have a creek running through my property that I have been tempted to do some panning in. I have never panned, and I'm wondering if it's even worth trying? Thoughts?

Gold can be found in most states Tennessee is on the list. Best way it to try and pan your creek.

I have found gold where it’s never been listed. I found gold In area in the NC mountains. There is no listing of gold being found anywhere near there. So pan it and see.

Only one way to find out! find an inside bend and dig out a nice hole as far as you can and sample the dirt with a pan as you go down.
