Well I couldn't get out today so I hit my yard.....again. And to my surprise 79,84,86,84. Thought it was a dime or corroded penny. My 5 year old says " move dad I'm gonna dig it" tears came to my eyes and we put the pro pointer to the grass and it started ringing.:headbang: then we popped a plug and out came this:laughing7:

Wow! That's a nice piece and even more special with your little one's help.

Detecting is such an awesome family hobby because kids can be full hunting partners, and how great it is to have an eager digger!

So true, and to instill the sense of adventure and curiosity in a child is priceless!

Nice find. My girls love going detecting with me too, its always a great time

Awesome find! My son is still to young to enjoy metal detecting but hope it grows on him too.

That sucker looks old! Very nice!

I was thinking the same thing. It was about for inches deep. Weird thing is, my house was built in 1995. Not old at all. However, El Paso and the Rio Grande valley go back to 1590's. I know it's not that old but I'm thinking turn of the century. Hoping anyway.

Great find and an even better way to find it with you helper.. Congrats..

Beautiful cross, congrats! HH, Mike
