Gold Prospecting in Texas?

Looking it up online shows that places like the Llano River can yield small results.. I'm guessing it's a similar story across the state. Maybe a little here and there.

Have any of you ever had luck in this state? I'm not saying to give up your honey holes if so, just wondering if it is a completely futile venture.

Just pull out your pan and start testing and have fun trying, enjoy those moments when you do find gold. Also if you master finding gold in your state and then go to a gold rich state you will do great.

The Llano River used to be a honey hole for locals until the word got out on it's fine gold there. Now a lot of people have went there and yes it still refreshes it's gold but there's not much there but it's a nice place to go ! Enjoy !
