DownDeep, I assure you there is a profit to be made by rerunning the first settlement pool.
Now that I think about it, probably not just theirs. :icon_scratch:

I have to admit I can't stand this show.... I tried watching it but I can take only so much idiocy and this show is WAY past my limits..... :BangHead: too bad because it really had some potential but between the boneheads and the dramatization it is just too much for me.....lol

I think they have picked up on some of that and is why they are giving more time to the other two operations.
Did anyone see the mapping and recording of the drill tests? Me either. So much information wasted. Maybe I just missed it.

If memory serves me right, on some of the previous shows, it was only 19 miles to town. :icon_scratch:
That said, it was still staged. Why??? Have you ever ridden 40 miles on an ATV 4 Wheeler? And when you arrive at your final destination, which would have been 80 miles round trip, just jump off and walk like you just warmed up for a ball game. Fresh as a Daisey and not stiff legged at all. I just don't know why they want to stage these little acts. :icon_scratch:

I am guessing because they feel that it adds drama. It also gives them filler footage.

For instance, I think Fred knew from the outset that he didn't have a safety plan. He even admitted that it should have been mailed to him months ago...does anyone really believe that it might come in today's mail?

What better way to add some drama? Send the boy off on a ATV. I'm guessing they were going to send him in the truck, but it wouldn't start.

It wouldn't be very interesting to the millions of Americans, like me, that have no idea what goes on at a gold mine, unless they add some story lines, tense moments, crisis points, and some filler.

Watching two guys pan for gold in a creek might get boring after a while, especially if they aren't finding gold, but if you can shoot, cut, edit and stage a few scenes where it appears to the viewer that the two prospectors might get in a fight because one of them ate both candy bars in the knapsack, and while the other one admits they accidentally bought a claim that is proven to have never had gold on it, and then add in a 20 second clip about how a bear is down river, and might attack the prospectors...now you have a show!

thanks goodyguy. if i could photoshop i would be a very very dangerous man! thank god for my third grade edge i cage on amen.

They have played Todd up to be a complete moron , which he's probably laughing all the way to the bank and just fine with. I doubt anyone could be that dumb about getting into a big operation like he's trying to with that much capital investment, you would think that one would be considerably more educated on the processes of sampling and finding a good area to work before sinking your life savings into it. Then again I may be wrong. Some people get them dancin dollar signs in front of their eyes and get a bad case of the fever and go stupid.

I CAN THINK OF ABOUT A HALF DOZEN THINGS THAT I WOULD GIVE UP TO SPEND
JUST ONE SUMMER PROSPECTING IN ALASKA...... MY DIGNITY IS NOT ON THE LIST.

THAT BEING SAID, THIS SHOW WILL PROBABLY GET A FEW FOLKS TO MAKE THE TRIP
BASED ON THE THOUGHT, "IF THESE FOOLS CAN DO THIS, I KNOW THAT I CAN
DO IT BETTER AND MAKE MYSELF RICH." :dontknow: WITHOUT THE :argue:

I had planned on going to Alaska this Summer and after the major storms, the beaches of Nome will be loaded. Plans changed but Good Lord willing, I will be prospecting somewhere else.

Tonights episode: Rock Bottom

The Hoffman crew is dead in the water until Harness can repair their broken excavator. Parker Schnabel totals his gold for the season and hands the Big Nugget mine back to his grandpa. Meanwhile, the Dakota boys lock horns trying to re-open their mine.

I Record the show, Makes it so much more enjoyable to be able to Fast Forward through all those Slow poked Boring Commercials.. :headbang:

Anyone see the advertisement about another gold show.. Something about dredging underwater.. I remember seeing something about it..
