marc, try out caraway mountain in north carolina,, east of archdale/trinity...prior to the mad dash to the california gold this area was the top producing area in the state, for many years...i personally have been in at least 25-30 mines on this mountain....panning the creeks below still produces gold....resolution problems prevent me from using google earth...............gldhntr
