I recently acquired "After The Ice" by Steven Mithen. This is a "Global Human History from 20,000 to 5,000 BC". The concept is human history after the last ice age. There is a long section on the Clovis Man. There are other mentions as well. I thought the relic hunters might enjoy something on the subject.

Thanks for thinking about us relic hunters. I for one can not read enough books concerning man and his journey through evolution.

Have you read '1491' and '1493' by Charles C. Mann? The book 1491 traces the history of the Americas before Columbus "discovered" America, and then 1493 traces how the world changed after the discovery in the "Columbian Exchange". I was facinated.

Right now all my books are on the Civil war and maps and diaries. Soon though I will be back on ancient man. Maybe even a hunt Monday. 1491 and 1493 sound good.

Have you read Shelby Foote's three parter on the CW? He names so many places in those books.
