Good Friday out digging

It sure was a great day to be detecting. I hunted a couple of different yards in town today and found a few keepers. The Standing Liberty Quarter is a 1917 S Variety 1 and was about 5.5in deep. The Merc was only 4in deep and is a 1920 in worn condition. I also dug 11 wheaties today with the oldest being 1910. 8) 8)

50deg. outside today and i'm stuck in the house with the monsters. (mommas workin') and tomorrow is gonna be 25deg. colder. Oh well, maybe next week.

Just got back from the state fair grounds. Found a game token and some clad. Working on getting a Whites M6 or MXT. Cant wait to hit the same spots to see if I missed some things once I get my new detector. I'm in the process of selling a good portion of my coin collection.

Sometimes we have to make sacrifices in our hobbies. I bet you will surprise yourself when you go over the same ground with a new machine! I really like what I hear about the mxt. No experience with the m6 though.
