Went to a ski? slope an old guy in my scout troop once told me of, he said they use to ski there in the 20's and 30's so I figured its worth a try. I dindt get many signals but I did pull these two beautys a 1917 type 1 and 1918 SL quarter in about as good a shape as they come from the same hole. ;D

Those are in REAL nice shape. Have to see scans of the back to determine what varieties they are. NICE FINDS. Hogge

Very Cool! What part of the state are you in?
I am down near York, PA.

They are in great shape!

Hope you read up on how to clean them, especially if they have value, which it sounds like they have!

Congrats! :)

That is amazing. Those are both stunning. I would recommend that you send those in to get slabbed. Both of those are money coins.

100% AGREED!!!

Killer finds!
2 SLQ's with dates in the same hole? Amazing!
Congrats!

holy cow! those are in such fantastic shape!!! that 1917 looks uncirculated. whatever you do, do not clean them, rub them, or hold them anywhere except by the outside rim of the coin. send those suckers in to get graded and slabbed!

is it possible to post clearer pics and pics of the back? congrats!!!!

Jimmy,

You are living right!!  Two early SLQ's in beautiful condition in the same hole is amazing!! :o ::)

I've never seen so much detail on the shield as I do on your 1917. Stunning!!

I know those weren't the only two coins on that slope.....I'm sure there's more hiding there.
