was looking around fleebay earlier and it seemed a good place to look at lots of points and compare, over and over again, the differences between reproductions and the real deal.
Look for the various signs. You can find examples of rechipping, see loss of and or no patina. Examine hinge fractures, look for a little dirt in the cracks.
After a fashion It becomes fairly easy to see the differences between dbl papered COA goods and say, a Clovis that is listed for 8.00. (with no bids)
I'm not saying it will make anyone an expert, but it is one way to help yourself learn.
