Goodwill bins, outlets & as-is auctions

My parents went to a GWO and worked the bins yesterday for a few hours.

Nothing but trash yesterday, they say.

A few years ago, you could find some decent stuff, but anymore, most trips we've made are totally worthless.

I hit "the bins" for a short while yesterday.

Wow...this place is nothing like it was a few years ago. I found exactly one item to list on ebay...an unusual dictionary that might bring $25, according to ebay's completed sales. I paid 50 cents for it.

While there, I did manage to spend $48, but not much is ebayable. We flea market too. We found about 45 pounds of fabric used for sewing. We've done well with fabric and "fat quarters" at our FM. We should easily clear $150 to $200 on this lot, but it is going to take an afternoon of work getting it cut into fat quarters.

So, in a nutshell, it isn't bad for picking for a FM, but the place is crawling with ebayers. I ran into 3 other sellers that I know personally, on a first name basis, at GWO.
