You can now attach ".kml" files. We've a created a specific forum to attach these files entitled "X Marks The Spot!".
If you use Google Earth, you can zoom into a point, then "Save Place As..." save the placement point as a ".kml" file (NOT .kmz) , and attach it to your post.
Try clicking on the attachment below - site.kml ... (you'll need to have Google Earth installed!)
If all goes well, it will open Google Earth, and take you to the site! Depending on your browser / system configuration, you might have to download the file then click on it.
