Well ... seeing as how you are on the east coast, and seeing as how LC's and colonial coppers are brimming out of every sand box on the east coast, I vote : Large Cent

I think it is a William III 1695-1701. I think that in your first picture, you are holding it sideways. I think I can make out the hair tie on the back of the right facing bust.View attachment Bill III.bmp
