Got a first run with obsidian

[Older The Better]

Got my hands on some obsidian, man it sure flakes nice, way better than the local chert I’ve messed with… these two were just from a big flake I knocked off one whack two points, not a bad return… a little too thin to try to drive flakes all the way across. The little one was a little thicker and looks more complete. I kind of ended up with a lancolate so I chipped deeper base and it didn’t look like much so I notched it too, so fantasy piece on my part.
