I stopped at a small bank to cash a check and the teller just finished running quarters for the local carwash owner. They left the doors open and I could see a partial bag of halves and asked if they would sell of the counter. She was more than happy. Oh man my boxes have been horrible so this is like heaven. I'll post the results shortly but here is a quick peek :headbang:

Looks good! Lucky you!

I am surprised the teller wanted to bother with it - did she have to count it out?

Looks like a good score, too bad the bag wasnt a little more full!

It was a cummins jetsort; it keeps a running total. She just pulled the bag, looked at the screen and asked for 194 bucks.

Alright folks the total is in!

$4.15 in non half Clad
1 carwash token
1 flattened coin
Guitar Pick
1920 Buffalo Nick

1993S silver Proof
1995S Silver Proof

8 Bens

29 40%ers

Man this made my day!

Very sweet! Congrats!

awesome bag! man I wish they would freakin sell me those things!!!

Where you short clad halves because of the nickels, quarters, guitar pic, etc?

Just wondering if the machine counted them as halves.

Coin-gratulations!

Wish I could find a those 2 silver proof halves; those are both low mintage (1993-S silver - 761,353 minted and 1995-S silver - 679,985 minted). Missing both of those in my half dollar album because uncirculated those usually bring upwards of $10 (rare to see that low but apparently a few have been sold on eBay for that much) to $25+ a piece (and I have seen people pay that much for each coin).

 I'm envious, lol.

The rest was lagniappe, I had $194 in halves and I guess the rest just went in the bag. This is my first partial bag off a counter so might just be luck but maybe someone else with counter pull offs could confirm.

I was stoked to see these two! This is one of the few coins I've wanted to find in the wild and heck I got two! Guess it makes up for my boxes, I just hit the high 20's in skunks.

Heck I didn't even have an account, just cashing a check drawn on their bank. Guess it as right time right place.

If you found a buffalo nickel in the halve bag, what would you find if you bought the nickel bag? Congrats, great haul!

Sweet! I love my bags too, It's hit and miss, but when it's hit, it's usually pretty good! Awesome on the modern Silver too, I have found a few of them, they are always easy to spot, those rims just about gleem white when you see them lol. HH, Maverick

Wow thats an awesome bag!!!

Love the bens, and that proof rim through the bag!!! Awesome!!
