for my kin that migrated over from the great pond and my blood line comes from
it was a requirement that we all spoke english all the times other than
doing homework and praticing for school
still that wasn't done at the dinner table, etc

Here it's '1' for English, '2' for French (which are both our native tounges). Up north (Nunavat and North West Territory) '2' is for their Native toungue.

Some how for Canada it is fine we all know it is a 2 language country always has been French and British.
I don't mind some things having a # for bilingual just press 2 for it and get help ... only because people do come here on vacation, to go to school and just learning the language these people may need some help (temporary) And in a stressful situation you may be not thinking in English.
But if you are going to live here LEARN ENGLISH!
