Got buzzed while fishing today

Decided to take my boat out today. I thought I was alone, when I heard the familiar sound of those lovely piston engines. I looked up to the sky and saw it, I know they fly out of Willow Run airport in Ypsilanti, Michigan or is it Romulus? Is this a C-30 cargo plane? I know that they use one of these old birds to fly the U.S. Mail. One even said Hi to me as he flew over ..........NGE Also got a couple pics of the local de-sanitation plants today

Looks like a C-47 to me. Nice catch, when I hear those round engines I nearly break my neck trying to get outside to see what bird it is. Thanks for the pictures.

There usually are a couple 4 engined beasts flying around too, they sound even more impressive..........NGE

Mjido is right. C-47, aka Gooney Bird. We see them every summer during fire season. Cool airplane.
