I found this token last year behind some razed houses. It stumped me for weeks trying to pinpoint where it was from. I could not find nothing in the Polk and Dunn directories under B.F.L & CO. However I came across a name in the saloon section B.F.Livingston, but that was not enough. I needed something that said B.F.Livingston & CO. I went to the historical society going through old business licence records still nothing. I even posted it in the token section it was there that gave me my first clue. (Thanks again Don). Well I decided to try one last effort went back to the county library and was browsing through the Polk/Dunn directories under billiard halls, there I found Livingston & Marshall. Still no & CO. So I came home and typed in Marshall & Livingston in the Utah digital newspapers and BAM there it was Benjamin F Livingston & Co I finally hit it. Some links are attached of the business. Also to the best of my knowledge this is the oldest known token of Ogden,Ut. 1887-1891 http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,216585.0.html

Thanks Allen,
I don't find many tokens. As a matter of fact, that was the last one I found nearly a year ago.

Thanks Moonshadow,
It actually is in pristine shape. I could of cleaned it up to it original brass finish. But the token is old and having the old dug patina look just gives it more character. Also the last time I shined something up it looked like crap. As they say do not clean antiques.
