Well my day didnt start well , but I decided I needed some one on one time with my machine 
so I headed out with a few spots in mind. The first spot I hit no go the owner wasnt home and the servant answered the door ..... servant 
?? He said come back Monday evenning when the owners are home,,.... So I headed down the road next stop no answer..So I thought to myself its been a while since I hit a 1900 house and remembered seeing one last weekend with a nice field ,so I headed there and did a quick drive by and spotted life on the front porch so I swung in and did my thing and got permission to hit the 30 acre freshly turned field ...As soon as I started swinging I noticed old pottery everywhere , peices of medicine bottles etc... So after digging a bunch of copper and brass pieces and shot gun shells I was drawn over to a corner of the field .. First decent find of the day a nice little brass bell , then a 1908 Indian Head penny and then a few feet away a 1842 L.C so while I was swinging back to the truck I hit a solid 12 on the xlt which I thought maybe a ring So I dug it and to my surprize out came a small piece of shinny gold so I dusted it off and in the pocket it went , I thanked the owner and hauled tail home to clean it up it appears to be hammered its not a coin but it weighs 3.1 grams ...

Sorry for the confusion on the L.C date my bad ,it was hard to make out till I gave her a bath !
Also while I was sorting through todays finds I found three other things , two brass plates one with a lady and some sort of wheel and the other with a chinese guy on it and also a square copper tag reading SR with a arrow through the letters and local 16319 any body have any info on these items I would be interested in learning what they are ...
