New field permission today. Headed straight toward the highest ground in the field and immediatly hit the 1810 LC. Wish the obverse was as good as the reverse but not complaining as these are hard to find. Found the tombacs, silver? thimble and other whatsits nearby. Found a few wiped colonial? coppers in other parts of the field as well

Spent a lot of time searching for an iron patch with no success. The area I got most of the stuff in had very little iron but some brick and oyster which I found odd so I dont have much hope for many more finds. My best sites are usually loaded with iron

Congrats Toasted the one brass piece looks like the valve part of a barrel spigot nice finds

Very nice LC! Great detail for a 200+ year old copper...should clean up nicely! Ddf

Congratulations - nice Large Cent! :icon_thumright:

What a hell of a week for you. That thimble is silver all day long.

Too bad the majority of field finds are either toasty or plow damaged. The large cent is in excellent condition for its age and where found

Classic heads are a tough find and they tend to be in horrible condition. You did great on both counts, congrats on finding your first one.

Keep the posts coming toasted, I am digging vicariously through you unless the ground is thawed over the weekend. The what's-it is part of a tap i.e. barrel tap.

Nice LC man, That one came out pretty clean! Congrats on a great hunt

Dude I want to hunt with you some day LOL Great finds your killin it!!!! Tommy
