Got my first Detector for christmas this year! Here's some finds.

So i got my first detector for christmas.......Started using it right after the new year, Been watching the post and looking at all the cool stuff being pulled from the ground. I figured it was time to sign up and post a few things. these are a few of the highlights for the first 3 months of this year.....(this is a fun hobby,,,addiction!) if anyone can help me with some info on the pistol military medal that would be great. its very heavy and not a toy. seems to be possibly plated.

Good start. Reminds me that I went out at the beginning of 2014 and kept running into people with their new detectors which they got for Christmas.

I found a Ford key very similar to that one. I think that it went to some type of old car, but I am unsure of which one. My daughter keeps all the keys that I find. I looked in her cup after a few months and couldn't believe how many I had dug up.

Those are some great finds! Especially for just starting out, 3 merry widows...dug a few of those in a active part of the woods..... lol. Like the silvers! GL and HH and make sure to share anything else you discover

Looks like you're doing things right. You have some nice finds and yes, it is addicting.

thanks everyone......i had no idea what the merry widows tin was til i looked it up..... its the coolest thing ever! but my favorite so far is that USA pistol medallion its got a good vibe to it for some reason. and i believe the key is the ignition for a 51' ford truck.
