Got out after all the heavy rain!! Got some In Situ shots!!

Hi Folks!!

We had some heavy rain last night up till this morning, so I had to get out for a while. Found a field plowed up that I have had some luck in . I stopped to check with the owner and she said it was O.K. , but there had already been a truckload of guys in it last week. She said 5 guys had walked it just a week ago. I thought that with the rain , maybe something would turn up. There were footprints all over the field and they did'nt look washed down very much to me, but I had to keep telling myself to get to my hot spot and concentrate on flint and not footprints. It is hard to think flint when all you see is footprints. Well, either these guys were new to the hobby or the rain did alot more washing than I thought. I ended up having a pretty decent day. Enough rambling, here are some pictures for ya!! Happy Hunting to all.

Are you sure those guys were'nt coon hunting.. LOL What a great hunt. I think its the second to last pic. Is that point made like that, or is a little of the base snapped off. Congrats. John

That is an incredible hunt for a filed covered in footprints. Like you said, they were either rookies or the recent rain really did you a favor.

The point in the last two pictures has a broken base I think. It appears that it would have been an Adena base . Just a little bit gone. Still not a bad looking piece.
