Grandpa's Collection Frame #3--tiny points

Here's the last frame of Grandpa's points I have until my brother brings me the rest to photograph. He has them in storage and said he'll try to get them to me in the next few weeks. I have some individual pieces that I want to make a post about and most of them are BIG tools(?) from Missouri along with a few more abrading stones and grind stones(manos?).
On this frame are mostly the smaller points and there are some red and blue beads on this frame that Grandpa found on the Arkansas River on a little island. There is also a "tinkler" bead on here and a few bone beads(?).

What do you call the multi-notch points---the ones having side and base notches? I think those are my favorite on here! Just think how hard it would be to put one notch on something so small let alone mutliple notches!
We're still cataloging points so if anyone knows the names of these, please let us know. I can kinda tell on some of the bigger points now thanks to Neanderthal, but these smaller ones are a lot harder.
Thanks everyone for looking and thanks for all the responses we received on the other posts! regards, sandcreek4

Re: Grandpa's Collection Frame #3--tiny points

Killer frame of Bird Points sandcreek. Some of those do resemble Cahokias, but they are more of a Illinois area find I believe. I think some of those will be considered Washita Points. Hopefully Matt(Neanderthal) will be along and he will give you the correct types. He really knows his types and materials.

In the meantime, here's a site you can check out that will help you ID points.

Sequoyah, washita, harrel, haskell, reed, maud, fresno, etc. The ones with the multiple notches are Huffaker. Interesting to see a few schilds in there, along with what looks like a sattler. Will try to post more when I get more time.

Re: Grandpa's Collection Frame #3--tiny points

It's strange that the site won't let you post Wa-sh"ee"(i)-ta. ;D

even stranger is I posted the word w a s h 1 t a and immediately got booted off the forum, and cant get back on without a ' page cannot be displayed ' error message? I snuck back on using a proxy and was wondering if a mod can help me out here? did I break a rule here?

I think that is taking the swear filter just a little to the extreme. Send a PM to Flintfinder Of Mo. and see if he can help you out.
