Today I was planning on going hunting, until my sister asked if i could pick up an oak dresser for her, me being the only one available with a truck figured id be nice, but under one condition i told her....only if we can hit all the banks in the town on the way back......

On the way back we stopped at a small town bank, I walked in with my usual smile making small talk with the teller who is going to fork over all the silver. :laughing7: I asked her if she has any rolls of 50 cent pieces, she looks around and decides to check with the other tellers if there is some in the vault, as soon as she leaves my eyes dash into the coin tray. not a scrap of silver. she comes back and says, "one of the teller has two rolls, and all i have is the stuff in my tray, would u like to buy that." Knowing there is no silver in her tray i said no, but i would like the two rolls the other teller has. As the other teller comes to her window, i immediatly switch to her window so i can scope out her tray.......sure enough, about 3 or 4 dollars in silver halves with their glimmering silvery sparkle staring back at me. I told her I want to buy the two rolls, and not to make it seem like there is something going on with the half dollars, i said to both of them, "you know what, I'll buy whatever is in your trays too, i mind as well since im here." So i left there with all the silver in teller 2's tray and two solid rolls of 40%ers, and one eisenhower dollar.
The next bank produced nothing. We stopped at one more, went in asked if they had rolls of halves or any of the oversized dollar coins, immediatly she said they have halves and no they rarely see dollar coins and if they do they are snatched up. She goes into the back to get my rolls of 50 centers, and comes back with two 20.00 rolls of dollar coins and some rolls of 50 cent pieces. Being the silver hunter i am, i couldnt turn down the 40.00 dollar coins, maybe there is some silver in there. I ended up with 40 eisenhower dollars, and one 40%er.
I hit a few more banks throughout the day picking up a 1963 $10.00 bill(previous week the lady saved me a 1928 100 dollar bill), 3 rolls of 2009 sacawagea dollar coins, 1 roll of James K. Polk dollar coins, a 1992s kennedy half, one more ike, and a 1963d Franklin.

My totals today were
50 - 40%ers
1 - Franklin
42 - Eisenhower dollars
1 - 1992s

Not a bad day.

Sorry about the bad quality photo on the 1992s.

Nice score :icon_thumright: You never know on the Ikes. I picked up an envelope of dollars this week and it had "Liberty Dollars" written on it. I'm thinking ASE coins but alas, only clad Ikes. One of these days I'll score an Eagle. Had some luck with the Ikes though and I usually will take them all.

Spend that ten it ain't worth nothing and get rid of three of the sac rolls and check those 1972 ikes for type 2.

Good score on the rest. You don't want to tie up too much cap money on stuff that's not worth the time saving.
