He wanted to go with me on a hunt today We gave all 8 of our grand children A Amigo II for Christmas a lot of years ago. They have found a lot of civil war buttons and war of 1812 great coat buttons with them. Today was the first time Paton tried one I think he done very well 1973 and 1933 cents, pistol bullet, old pocket knife, and a I don't know what it is he bought wore me out digging for him he wanted t dig every little beep I told him that would change now he has had his lesson next hunt he is on his on. Welcome Jesse, And best story ever!

You've set a young man on a path that will take right past many of the scourges young people experience today. By the time he's a teenager he'll have a purpose that will preclude a lot of the average teenage nonsense. Cellphones can't find treasure, and drugs won't help either but the right young lady that loves history, and the outdoors might slip in beneath the radar!

Well done and best wishes! Enjoy this time together!

Tell him Congrats on the wheatie! You've got a hunting buddy there!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!!

Nothin' better than family fun!

Nicely done, and all the best,

Lanny

Well done Paton! I started this hobby as a 13 year old 13 years ago. Found an Indian Head Penny and Buffalo Nickel before finding a wheat oddly enough. Congrats to the young guy!

Awesome! And nice finds for a first-ever hunt! :icon_thumleft:

I cant imagine all the treasure I would have if I started that young. Put his first wheat in a nice display case cool momento

Congrats to your great grandson. Nothing better than having fun with family.

Great job on the wheat cent! :occasion14:

Now if you can just convince him that digging them out is more fun than 'swinging and pinging', you got it made. :)

What a "Great" Granddad you are Redneck. Congrats to Paton on his 33 Wheat ! I can only imagine the excitement of watching a Great Grandchild treasure hunt.
