Today the weather was terrible. Strong wind was coming from the north so it was impossible to work today. Prepared my stuff and finally after a long pause I got back to my lovely area :)
I was hoping to find other brooches today but I could find only one, horse shape.
I could find only one nice brooche but today I could find 84 coins (47 scrappies), 4 silver ottoman coins, 5 silver unidentified yet, a broken byzantin silver coin, Austro-Hungarian plate and a lot of bronze and iron stuff.
I have a back pain and I'm exhausted.
Here are some pics and the best of them.

I think I need a 24 hour deep sleep

Many thanks to my nephew for letting me use his trousers for the pics :)

Wow Vince wow, that’s an amazing assemblage of finds. Those ancient silver coins are really something special. Get some rest and we all look forward to your next post. Congrats sir!

Thanks Tom. Lets hope for better weather. Today has been raining all day.

Congrats on all those killer finds Vince, "You are living the Dream. You dug a lifetime's worth of ancient finds in that one outing.

Thanks Loco. I never thought I could dig so many holes :laughing9:

You might have to invest in some Ben-Gay or Icy-Hot lotion. I've had a few hunts like that, where I could not pry my right hand open the following day.

WOW! That almost beats my epic 1964 Silver Roosevelt dime found in 1964.

Grins...all kidding aside, you have an incredible assortment of goodies! Congratulations:occasion14:

It looks like you found many awesome coins, and some very nice condition Greek bronzes, congrats!

Awesome find, this item appears to be a genuine arrowhead that was later converted to a talisman pendant. I'm not sure if all the decorated eyes were made to be protective "evil eye" symbols, but my idea is that someone may have been shot with the arrow but survived, and turned the arrowhead into a protective charm to wear (similar to people wearing the bullets they were shot with on necklaces). This possibility makes it a very very interesting item.

If you can provide more pictures of the arrowhead charm it would be very interesting to see!

That is probably the best hunt I have ever seen posted! I can't even wrap my head around that

Thanks buddy! I was wondering why someone should decorate an arrow head! It didn't make sense to me. Your idea is plausible. It explains also the hole. There are 11 eyes on each side. 6 on left and 5 five on the right and the same upside down. I used the negative option.

Thank you Vince, that is a very special find! The normal arrowheads are very interesting to begin with, but that amulet pendant arrowhead is a much more rare and unique item. I'd guess the value would be between 150-250 USD but I wouldn't sell it.

I have seen the smaller ancient Scythian arrowheads converted into pendants occasionally, but never one of these larger Greek/Macedonian points drilled and then decorated. To me it is much more interesting and rare than the other excellent finds, but I collect ancient weapons and am biased in favor of those items.

crazy awesome finds, You were quite the busy man to dig all of that and that is not including the trash! quality finds that we over here can only dream of. just amazing, totally amazing.

Either "evil eye" or "wounds of Christ" .. a common motif on Ancient Jewelry or early Christian art, especially Byzantine period....

Amazing results! Congratulations!

Wow, That's is a great day, nice digs!

Thanks buddy! Its not a fisical problem digging a lot of trash out there. Its psychological. When I have a signal in that area where nobody lives and the closest house is only 2km away I get prepared for something nice but unfortunately the trash is everywhere :)

Inspirational as always Vince!
