Welcome aboard Flemishman,
Nice to see your finds. I wonder if you could show us some pictures of the countryside? I will never be able to visit your country, so maybe you could show me some of it.
HH,
Joe

Greetings from the states. I would love to hunt over your way sometime. Welcome aboard!

hey everyone,

great to receive all them replies :)
i haven't really had the time to search on the field yet, but i'm sure the F2 will do good there too.
and now it's freezing outside , so the bottom will be rock solid ...
regarding pics of the countryside here, i'll send some soon

regards ,

Flemishman

Welcome from the UK.

I used to live in Belgium.

I thought it was illegal to detect there?

I think it´s only illegal in Wallonie, and he comes from Vlaanderen. But I´m sure he´ll put me right if I´m wrong.

hey ,

it's not illigal in the flemish part of belgium.
there is a certain code though , when you find items that are older then 19th century you have to report them.
i also hear that there might become a permit system to go detecting...

Makes sence as I was in the South French part of Belgium.

Welcome Aboard!!!

The closest I ever got to Belgium was when I was in the Army at Weisbaden AFB in Germany in 1988. I kinda miss Germany...Was a far cry cleaner than the States here...I appreciated the German way of thinking when it came to the beauty of their countryside. Very nice Finds with the F2...I still have not hit a beach here in Syracuse, NY, but plan to do much more hunting in 2008 than I did in 2007.

Happy Hunting,

Welcome to T-Net, Flemishman. Great to have more people from across the big pond posting their amazing finds here. I love what you have found so far. Keep those posts coming. Good Luck & Happy Hunting.

Welcome!

I admit I only really have two points of personal Belgian trivia:

1) I know Belgians brew some of the finest beers that have ever touched these lips, and that counts for plenty; and

2) a Belgian fellow and his drinking buds once saved me from a week of potential hell in Lausanne, Switzerland (an almost entirely French-speaking town, and I speak nearly no French at all), by welcoming me into their motley gang and taking me around to all the best bars. That's quality. I was happy to buy us all several pitchers of the aforementioned beverage.

Nonetheless, my impression of Belgium is highly favorable!

Cheers and HH,
Brendan
