I bought a boat yesterday to aid in the rock hunting. I've never been on the water around here but I'm sure there are points to be found. I'll keep you all posted on the progress.

I went out on Saturday with no knowledge and came back with a little bit of knowledge, a decent little point, a dozen or some broke's and one site identified. The picture is unnecssarily blurry because I couldn't find the camera so I used my phone. The side notch base is obivously archaic, I have no idea about the rest. The pottery is very interesting, to me at least. I'll get a clearer picture later in the week and get it posted and see what the smart people know about it, I know nothing.

So I'm 1 for 1 starting over in a new area.

Cool, it looks like you found a decent site!

Also, most of the boat hunters that I know end up with boat collections (rocks, shells, relics, fossils, etc. that make it back to the boat from the field but not up to the house.)
