Finally got out today after what seems like forever... found over $5 in clad, a US Navy medallion, a small brass makeup compact and a big sterling silver ring with Greek writing on it... can anybody translate the Greek writing for me?

The marriage passage right? or love passage as it can be called... look it up the best book in the bible (opinion)

I thought that compact was a toilet seat! Lol. Hope you get an answer on the ring. Whatcha gonna do with all that clad? Thanks for sharing.

I thought the same thing about the compact, maybe the maker should redesign his product the message their compact sends is put this C**P on your face.LOL

Cheers BHG. that ring rocks bigtime ! I also thought you'd found the worlds tiniest toilet !!!

Lmao thanks guys you made my day :-) went back there today and got some more good stuff, just posted it :-)

I think the compact is funny that. I think It predates the invention of the toilet seat. Haha :laughing7: So back then it looked like a compact and nothing else.

Keep @ it and HH !! :laughing7:

How old do you think it is?

Late 1800's :icon_scratch: maybe, I could be wrong about everything though. I was looking up toilets and the flush toilet design was invented in 1596 not used in America until the 1890's. :laughing7: Can't seem to find when the toilet "Seat" was invented though. I'm guessing your compact to still be in the late 1800's maybe early 1900's. :icon_thumleft: I'm often wrong so I'd get a 2nd opinion... :dontknow:

Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:

Thanks I was hoping the makeup compact was holding a coin or two... it's my 3rd compact, hoping one day I can find one that was used for a change purse and got lost
