Detector(s) used
T2 LTD 13" Detech
Primary Interest:
Relic Hunting
Today was a long, warm, T-shirt kind of day. Mom, Arty and I hit up Dandy Hill for a few hours today and ended up with a small handful of relics. We decided to hit up our Field of Legends area one more time as we were turned down for permission on another field. This is a field that we have walked for a few hours in the past but didn't think highly of it. Well detecting in the rain must have made the detector gods happy because there were signals all over that we had missed. I got into a nice grid pattern of buttons and some copper coins and tokens. Later in the day is when I eeked out the 1840 half dime (my first seated half dime). Its in beautiful shape. On the way back to the truck soild 80-81 on the T2 and this little beauty of a spanish pops out. Its a newer one I think 1806ish GIIII. Ended up with a good amount of silver coins and silver doodads. The token I believe is a harrison campaign token with the log cabin. The one coin is clearly a George Irish and the other 2 have me stumped. One says 1833 but weird stuff on it and the other big ass coin dwarfs the half penny. I though it was a cartwheel but its not thick enough and the edge is diagonally reeded. Any ideas?

Way to go Jim, I'm still waiting on my first Half Dime................HH

Really nice hunt and finds! Congrats!

Jim, that was like a summer day. Glad we went back to the Field of Legends for some more silver. What a rich diverse area. I'm so glad I never gave up on those fields. And to think what was waiting almost literally under are feet the first time we climbed the small hill. You are the button king with that Tec. Great finds Jim...
