Went for a quick hunt yesterday on my lunch break down the road in one of the local fields. I've hit this spot many times before so it goes to show how things change when the farmers till the fields once a year. Add some wet ground conditions to that and the new stuff just seems to keep popping out of the ground. 1782 spanish half reale, Mexico city, assayer was "F.F" which would have been Antonio Forcada y Plaza 1782 half reale 001.jpg1782 half reale 002.jpg

Got to love a plough and what it can do for a field, congrats on the half reale it's in great shape.

Its rare to see dug Spanish silver found in such excellent shape. Not much wear on that coin, sweet find!

Wow, excellent condition. That's quite an exquisite find.

Yeah I have a couple of halves that are holed, I'm guessing they wore them on a string?

Holy crap- just posted pics of a find I made today- same as yours only 1781. Mine is beat- yours is beautiful! Congrats!
