On a cool, blustery first day of Spring, I got over to the silver farm for a couple hours of bliss. Not because of great finds, it was just nice to be out. Early on, I pulled this 35 wheat, followed by the 44 Washington in the old barnyard. It's been years, I think, since any animals occupied the area, so the rich soil is completely decomposed and odor free! I think the dirt might have been a little hard on old George, though. A little while later, I started going perpendicular to a pattern I used last year and turned up this Piper Comanche. How I missed it before is anyone's guess! I ended up with another wheat and $.41 in clad. The weatherman said last night that the rest of March will be cooler than normal, but as long as I dress for it I'll be okay.
I just updated the silver farm numbers and discovered that today's Washington was the 20th silver George at the farm, to go along with 2 Barbers. You'd think by accident there'd be an SLQ, or maybe I just haven't found it yet!
