Hallo from a Swedish couple in Dubai

Hi everyone,

we are a Swedish/ Thai couple living in Dubai since some seven years and last December (2014) we took up MD seriously. Having been a fan of military history for as long as I can remember (and I am 50 now!!), it has always been my dream to first read about the situation and then go visiting the actual site(s), preferably with a MD in my hand.
I have visited many a battlefield since the first time I was in Normandy in 1982 - but so far never with a MD!

The last Xmas Eve was our first try with our new Minelab Safari on a beach here in Dubai - and we continued almost everyday over the Xmas season - and were quite lucky.

I travel a lot in my work as I cover all of Africa, Middle East and all of Asia, so I'd love to meet up with some fellow detectorists out there to get some local expertise!

I work as a regional security director for a large international electric company called ABB (Asea Brown Boveri) and as such I cover Africa, Middle East and Asia. Gives me some opportunities to travel, one could say
