Hammer time!

I’ll be honest, I don’t know if I have ever found cool enough artifacts to post three days in a row! Today I went back to where I found the metal arrow point yesterday and to my surprise this hammer popped out of the ground. Old gun parts are not my strong suit but I was told it was from a hunting rifle due to it being a little thinner and not as robust. If anyone has an idea of what type of gun this went to, please let me know. I understand it’s a hammer from a cap and ball but I don’t have clue as to what make of gun. Thanks for viewing.

I have. It is a difficult place to search. Tons of ranch trash. Being as I am looking for iron targets, I have to dig everything which is very time consuming but worth it. I bet I have found almost 100 fence staples. 😂
