Happy 'Silvery' Good Friday to ALL!!!

I have a bank that orders 3 boxes a week for me for NO fee. : ) I have had 12 skunk boxes and 3 boxes with 1 each for a total of 15 boxes, but with no fees I'm not complaining. Yesterday I pick up a box and bring it home for hubby and I to open together (like Apush and her hubby). This box was the best so far with 1 90% and 10 40%. Hubby had 2 rolls with 2 40%ers each. As you can imagine, I could hardly wait for this morning so I could dump and go pick up another box, hoping to find more of this vein that I've stumbled across. I do the dump and get to the pick-up bank for the next box and the teller brings out a box that is taped shut with duct tape. I always insist on opening the boxes at the bank because of being shorted a roll once with no proof. Inside this box is 50 rolls of customer wrapped rolls. My heart just sank. I asked the teller 'What is this?' and she replies, 'A box of half dollars that someone brought back today' I'm thinking, they sold MY box to someone else, THEY found silver and are bringing back the junk. Well, I said 'I really don't want that box, do you have another one in the vault?' Luck was with me and yes there was 1 more box which I happily purchased and brought home. Would you believe 1 90% and 12 40%ers in this one. One roll had an ender 40% and 2 others for a total of 3 in one roll, 2 rolls had 2 40%s each! So my totals for 2 boxes was:

2-90%
22-40%
I couldn't be happier, and can only hope that this vein stretches into next week!

I guess I'll be chasing dimes tomorrow : )

Awesome finds! Sure beats my 10 40%ers that I found today, but I'm not complaining. Hope you continue to find silver!

ok i have some questions why are you ordering 3 boxes a week and only picking up one box at a time? I think that that is a good way to lose a good supply bank if you ask me. and i would never turn down boxes of halfs that tellers bring out by saying that you dont really want that box. By doing that it is a real good way for them to start charging for boxes. just take the hit and dump them if you dont want to look at them in a different branch. just my two cents. but nice finds and happy hunting

You make some valid points, Alaska. The reason I only pick up one box at a time is because I only have $$ for 1. Believe me, I would LOVE to be able to get all 3 at once, but then the rest of the week would be pretty dull also. As for not accepting the opened and searched box, this bank knows me as a 'collector' and so it would stand to reason that a box of aready-looked-at coins would NOT have those NIFC's and such that I have explained very carefully to them I am looking for. There was NO problem leaving that box behind. Unfortunately, that was one of the 3 boxes that were supposed to be for me, so I only got the 2 I told about. I can only wonder what that box origionally held. : ( Good Luck to us all on future hunts. : )

Congrats on the score. Personally depending on if there are other CRHer's that hit this bank or not. And if the bank will be able to get rid of the halves no problem. If not then i would consider taking one for the team if you will and get it off their hands. They just have to count the coins and look at them as extra work. So if your the only customer taking halves it might get you a long way by going ahead and taking the box. just my 2 cents

How was that 1 of your 3 boxes if someone just brought it in earlier that day? Seems to me that they gave one of your boxes away and tried to pass off someone else's dump as 1 of your boxes. I would have said something, I wouldn't be happy.
