Happy Thanksgiving and I want you all to remember

Talk turkey,not politics. One of my best friends( who happens to a liberal) gave me that wise piece of advice today as we were wishing each other a Happy Thanksgiving. She knows when one of our sons comes in to stay, it is just best to avoid politics because usually the conversation goes downhill.My point is that family is too important to have to be right or argue your point so hold your tongues,hold the ones you love even tighter,and have a wonderful holiday.

Excellent suggestion.At my family get togethers.No matter whose house one rule.No discussion of politics/religion or sports.And everything works out ok.Especialy when the alcohol kicks in.

No sports? Heck, all my friends and family agree politically and religiously and sports is the only thing we CAN argue about. Baylor vs A&M Tech vs UT Spurs vs Mavericks or Rockets Cowboys vs Texans ....All kinds of fun!
