Here's all of the Hardstone artifacts I now have. All found by my grandfather/brother/ and myself. All from the same 5 acre site. This isn't including the dozen or so my uncle has also found there. IMG_1086.webp

you ever wonder how they could lose so much stuff? I mean what else did they have to do? No tv so if you dropped something look for it!! I mean rocks don't grow on trees
 

Dang those are sweet finds. Where is flint city located? Meaning what state etc. Makes one wonder if there was a battle on your sight or a village that had been attacked or pillaged or something.

Illinois, not far from the Illinois River.

Dang Johnny that place is golden. Many people look their whole life for just one good one. Enjoy seeing them very nice.

I don't see much damage from the disc, were they field finds? Sure is a lot from 5 acres. Awesome thanks for the view :thumbsup:
 

Nice nice nice no wonder i cant find any axeheads they are all in illinois on your table.I used to live on the illinois river.In both Henry and lacon illinois.When i was a kid.Little league baseball and bullhead fishing thats how i spent my summers.nice axes i have seen over a hundred axes in one illinois collection.So i would say illinois is the axehead state....mjm

Outlaw, unfortunately They all have their fair share of plow scars, I have most of them turned down for the pic though. They were all surface finds over about 15 years. I have about 15 completely broken ones, bits and grooves that the plow didn't spare as well.
