Has anyone had your bank tell you that they don't have any halves in their vault

My order bank told me that they couldn't fill the whole order. I had 5 boxes ordered and they sent 4. I was told they were low on halves at their vault. I have had a week before when none came in and they said that they ran out. One of the 4 boxes was just a re-sealed dump box. In weighing the rolls from the other boxes, none had any 90%ers as usual. Very dry month. I think that I would be extremely lucky if I could find one 40%er.

Has anyone had their bank tell them that they don't have any halves? More CRHers is the problem?

They tell me this all the time.

They say that they only keep coin for business customers and that the customers do not use halves.
They say that halves have to be ordered, but they don't know if they can do it.

Alot depends upon WANT TO--whether they do or don't.

I have had my buy banks occasionally tell me the central vault was out of halves. I find it hard to believe, but I'm not going to call them liars, or flip them off, or close my account, or stomp my feet and act like a 12 year old. Oops wrong thread.

That's the only thing I ever hear from banks. If I get a box of halves ever other week, I'm ecstatic.

Hi SFbayarea,
It's starting to happen here on the east coast too. Had a bank order me a box and when I went to pick it up the nice lady advised me that the coin service company didn't have any halves to deliver.
She's a good friend and I know she wasn't lying to me. Just too many people in the game now, so halves are at a premium.
