I was back at it yesterday and had some really good copper recoveries. Always nice to find something you haven’t seen before. I recovered two unique coppers, one being a George B. McClellan 1864 presidential token( he ran against Lincoln) and a 1837 Un Sou Montreal bank token. Other copper finds were
1865x2 IHPS
1862 IHP
1857 flying eagle cent
1866 shield nickel (rays)
Everything else is the typical early settler relics besides the two 1856 general service buttons

Very Cool!!! Congrats!!!

A "little luck"? I would say so. Those finds are FANTASTIC in my opinion. Some great coins. I've only dug one flying eagle in my 15 years. It was at a CW camp.
Thanks for sharing, and keep up the great posts. :occasion14:

Thanks!

Great bunch of finds! More than a "little" luck. Congratulations!

General George McClellan was fired by Lincoln after he failed to pursue Gen Lee after the Battle of Antietam. I think he was trying for a payback by running against Lincoln in the ‘64 election. George was defeated so I guess the firing stuck.

Fentonian FANTASTIC FINDS THANKS for SHARING WITH US !!! What part of the world were you in ?
