For starters me and bud were checking a house from the 50s then got bombarded from the rain storm... later on i go back into town to search a little by myself and went to my hotspot.
1st signal came up 12-13 (thank god for the etrac) buffalo nickel my first buffy
2nd signal came up 12-13 buffy again
a little while later i go to the other corner of the lot and within a four feet line
i hit 12-13 again low and behold my first ever v nickel 1906
another hit 1908
another hit 1900
another hit 1904
from the picture i ran water across them to reveal the dates i need some info to clean the buffys i think one is a 193x and also some to clean the v nickels
also not pictured 1 wheat, 3 jefferson nicks pulling me a total of 9 nickels in one day (a personal best) gl everyone and happy hunting and and info of the cleaning would be appreciated!!1!!!!!!!!

not really i have almost hunted this place down to checking for trash signals and nickels but its about time i have had some luck and again the 12-13 is the key for me

i see . got to get me a etrac:metaldetector: looks like it dose well

Try to pull a full date on that buff. Whats the mint?

Good luck cleaning nickels. All mine look like yours but I may have used a toothbrush under running water and some mild soap a tad more than you ...maybe not.
I have a 1913 type one with no date this year. The only way I know the date is the buffalo is standing on a mound, not on a line.

Great nickel day! I had nine a few days ago out at a worked soccer field but they are all modern...someone left all the nickels (and pulltabs and gold plated rings)....there's GOTTA be a gold one out thar!, and the four little silver ones i've got are enough to keep me trying! HH

Check out Goes4ever. His website and method about cleaning nickles works very well.

Nice work on those nickels. You got to dig that low if you want to find gold as well.

On Saturday I had a similar experience that I was not going to post until I saw this.

I had worked this park years ago, did not find much. Went back and found a lot of zincolns, and some mason jar parts deep, giving me hope.

So Saturday I start and I notice the volleyball court and figure I would give it a quick run. I have never found much in them here in Green Bay.

At first there was not much, several tabs which surprised me. I had my GTA 500 in beach mode, I kept going. There was a lot of noise so I had to back the depth off a bit.

Then the nickels started coming. Some as deep as 6", several laying right on top. I found Canadian and some from the 60s. I began to think somebody planted them.

When I finished I had to sit down and count. From that one court I pulled 30 nickles, and little else. Maybe 3 clads, 2 zincs and one junk ring.

Weird.
