headphone setting

depends on your detector.

Some need mono to go through both speakers

some need Stereo to go through both speakers
 

Jeff is right. Also, play with any options you have to determine what YOU like best.

Jeff and luvsdux are correct. Yet, if you have a detector that supplies sound to headphones in both ears that is not stereo, you surely have an outdated detector.
