37mm cannon case of some sort. Unsure of age.

I found a similar 37mm cannon shell. Do you see a number code on yours? There should be a date stamp.

I’m seeing some of these old large ordnance cases listed for $80 to $300 depending on rarity.
Never would have thought a case would bring that much.

It's actually W N Y which is Washington Naval Yard, It's a Naval shell, probably WW1, there should be a date under the WNY mark if I remember right
