Just getting back into the hobby after several years. My wife just bought me a Whites M6 for our anniversary and I have a vintage Whites Goldmaster(1974), that still works! Nice to meet you triton, I used to live very close and worked in Belpre a long time ago. Your in my old stomping grounds. I can put ya on a bottle dump and old school if you like. Gramps owned a few property's. I spent most of my time in the Coolville area. But there is a good chance a few 55 gallon drums was buried full of coins down Little Hocking way, another family treasure. I plan a trip back in April. As for me being involved in the Barrel recovery, I doubt I would be allowed on the property, but you may. Im pretty sure the barrels were never recovered as the family fought a lot amongst themselves. You will wanna wear some snake chaps is all I can say as my source never told another soul. Look forward to your post, and pictures if your inclined.

Have spent a lot of time in Coolville and used to work in Little Hocking. The barrels sound interesting....Just talked a buddy of mine from Tuppers Plains, into buying a detector, hopefully we'll be posting A LOT of pics!
