My name is Brittany and I live in Ohio. I am completly new to MD. My bf's dad got me started on it and now I love it. I've only been detecting a few times. Found an indian head penny in Woodstock Ohio. Last weekend we went to an old carriage house from the 1800's. I was able to find an old horse shoe, what looks like an axe head, some small wheel looking things that I'm not sure what they are, a shot gun shell says new club with starburst design on it and some kind of bell with a design on the bottom. Found some other metal parts that I'm not sure what they are. I am definately more into finding old items as opposed to coins although old coins are awesome. I will try to post a picture of most of my finds.

good luck!

Be careful, continuing to detect will create an addiction that is hard to quit. You've been warned!

Wel-come aboard ... :hello:

Welcome to TNET!

welcome ( sorry you cannot afford a real dog)

Goose is a real dog! She's my hiking, canoeing and metal detecting buddy.

I mostly just drive around and find old houses, knock on the door and ask if I can detect there. I did find the Indian head penny at an old school yard. I'm already hooked on detecting! Hoping to get more in before the ground is frozen.
