In Hoc Signo Vinces: "In this sign thou shalt conquer". What I found says it is a Masonic ceremonial sword. Probably made some time in the 1800s. Credit to the internet.

Perhaps a Tyler sword from a Mason’s lodge?

Just below the scabbard's top, you see a distinctive version of "Arab-style" tent. That particular version was used as a symbol of the religious fraternity Knights of the Maccabees. See the identical tent, except for its very top, on a KotM buckle in the photo below.
