Help ID a sword

Hello, I purchased a supposed antique Knights of Malta sword from a local thrift store and I'm just trying to confirm its origins an what not. This is my first time on this site and with any experience buying swords. Thank you!

In Hoc Signo Vinces: "In this sign thou shalt conquer". What I found says it is a Masonic ceremonial sword. Probably made some time in the 1800s. Credit to the internet.

Just below the scabbard's top, you see a distinctive version of "Arab-style" tent. That particular version was used as a symbol of the religious fraternity Knights of the Maccabees. See the identical tent, except for its very top, on a KotM buckle in the photo below.
