I'm leaning towards a .44 cal Richmond Colt. Here is the book I use and I can't find a bullet that's quite the right dimensions and weight, any help would be appreciated.

I think your "leaning" guess is correct, it's a civil war .44 Richmond Colt. Looks like it may have been fired, and landed with almost no impact damage.
