help identifying a coin or token

my friend found this coin in southern mn. its copper not much detail, can see a few letters on the side with a head on top right side. other side looks like a boat with people on it?? please help thanks kyle

Probably as good as it will get. Seems fairly modern, and could be some type of token. Just a matter of someone recognizing it, and there's definitely enough there for that to happen.
