I am from Northern Ireland today I was down by the bay in Annalong on Glassdrummon Road. I found a few chunks of metal. I found an old padlock and some metal nail looking thing with a loop at the top, I'm not to sure what it is so I need help id'ing them. also dating it? I don't know when or what it's from. I also found some other piece which is strange its a big chunk with a metal rod curling out of it. looks like it had wood attached some way because you can see a spot where wood has rotten away. Object in middle is certainly an old lock. Probably from mid 18's to early 19's. Found a similar one at a mill that ran from 1860's though 1920's

Annalong seems to be a very old village. I bet you could find a lot of great stuff there with a metal detector.
